Tank schools in Tharaka and Tangulbei

At Auara, we are working to combat the greatest form of poverty there is: the lack of clean drinking water.

CONTEXT

The priority of this campaign is the educational field and it is complemented through actions in other sectors such as health or infrastructure, being the case of this project to provide the school with a water tank that has improved the living and sanitary conditions of the children who attend these schools. We have chosen these two schools because they are a model of good management by their directors and they are located in particularly poor areas with a very young student body, most of them being students in the first years of primary school.

OBJECTIVES

Installing water tanks provides a supply of stored water, most of which will be rainwater.

In addition, during periods of drought, the plan is to hire a water tanker to refill the water tank if rainfall has been insufficient.

MILESTONES

Thanks to this project,635 peoplenow have access to clean drinking water.
