Tank schools in Tharaka and Tangulbei

Background

The priority of this campaign is the educational field and it is complemented through actions in other sectors such as health or infrastructure, being the case of this project to provide the school with a water tank that has improved the living and sanitary conditions of the children who attend these schools. We have chosen these two schools because they are a model of good management by their directors and they are located in particularly poor areas with a very young student body, most of them being students in the first years of primary school.

Objectives

The installation of water tanks allows for the availability of stored water, most of which will be rainwater. In addition, in times of drought, a tanker truck will be hired to supply the water tank if rainfall is insufficient.

Milestones

This project has achieved that to date 635 people have access to drinking water.
