Background

The population of Djelinfing is located in the province of Sikasso, the southernmost province of the country. Despite its privileged location within the country, it suffers from serious difficulties in the provision of safe drinking water and sanitation.
Djelinfing has a population of about 27,000 inhabitants and lacks a health center. Thanks to Architects without Borders and the ARJD association, a dispensary has been built with special attention to adequate maternity and newborn care.

Objectives

The project aims to supply drinking water to the newly built health center in Djelinfing through the drilling of a well, the installation of a submersible solar pump and panels that provide solar energy to the well.
