Background
The village of Jao Kunda, with a population of 600, is located in the Central River province, a very disadvantaged area, with
poverty and few means. They have a total lack of water, which causes food shortages. Daily, they spend about 3 hours in
to go or return with water carrying 25 liter jerry cans.
Objectives
The project aims to provide safe water to the village of Jao Kunda through the drilling of a well with a solar pump.
submersible and the installation of 2 tanks of 2,000 liters capacity. The water is piped from the well to the tanks and from the tanks to the taps.
Milestones
This project has ensured that, to date, 600 people have access to drinking water.
