Work with us

CRO (Chief Revenue Officer)

AUARA was created to generate a positive impact through access to drinking water in developing countries.

We want our daily work, in addition to developing as professionals, to have a positive impact on our planet and on the lives of people who need it, turning everyday acts of consumption into extraordinary acts.

AUARA is today the benchmark for social impact and sustainability in the beverage sector in Spain. Since we sold our first bottle:

  • 51,193 people have access to drinking water and sanitation.
  • We have contributed +56 million litres of water in developing countries.
  • We have built 83 infrastructures in 17 countries.
  • We were the first brand in Europe to manufacture 100% recycled plastic bottles, recycling more than 12 million bottles to date.
  • We have launched the world's first organic, fair trade and functional soft drinks.

At AUARA we have built a team of 12 people that has achieved an annual turnover pipeline of over €2m with a single product before the pandemic, numerous awards and a huge social and environmental impact. But the pandemic is forcing us to reinvent ourselves to grow bigger and better, and we know we can be a more productive team and achieve better results.

We want to consolidate our product portfolio and offline distribution channels, as well as develop our online sales and new innovative product categories. We want a seamless team, making the most of technology. We want working at AUARA to inspire something similar to working in Silicon Valley, but with a huge purpose.

The role

We are looking for a CRO (Chief Revenue Officer) to join and lead the executive team in order to make AUARA not only the social enterprise of reference in social and environmental impact, but also a company of reference in innovation, growth and results. We want someone with great executive skills, effectiveness, efficiency and results orientation, but also with a good dose of craziness, with an entrepreneurial heart, with ambition and the ability to adapt to change, someone with purpose who lives AUARA's values, with a lot of positive and constructive energy.

As a CRO you will report directly to the CEO and board, work closely with the management team and strategic partners, lead the operations, marketing and sales teams to define and implement business strategy and downgrade it to a targeted roadmap, and establish agile, results-oriented systems and work methodologies. You will be primarily responsible for the company's revenue generation.

Responsibilities

  • Define with the rest of the management team and execute the company strategy and propose future roadmaps.
  • To design and lead a high performance team, aligned with the global strategy, and aligned with the company's values.
  • Lead revenue generation teams (sales, online, offline, etc.), and collaborate with marketing, operations and other areas to develop business lines and improve strategy and user experience.
  • Establish new strategic partnerships.
  • Define and implement work and team management methodologies to digitalize the company and become a reference in business and management innovation.
  • Monitor and maximize revenue to have exponential and sustainable growth.
  • Contribute to making working at AUARA the best possible professional experience.

Expectations for the first 12 months

During the first three months we expect you to become steeped in our culture, to get to know the team in depth with an in-depth personal contact to understand and "audit" our current operations. We hope that during these first months you will leave your mark by introducing mechanics and humane and efficient working tools, and that you will win the team over by leading by example. We hope that you start by going down to the mud, understanding the market and the products from the bottom up and then get to define the direction of the company in the coming months and years.

After six months, we want to see a clear impact on sales metrics through team management and clear goal setting. The team must have retained its cultural essence and integrated with your methodologies and leadership style. We expect that in one year you will lead AUARA to have a multiplying growth reflected in new channels and sales results.

Metrics to improve

  • Total sales and % of veins in the B2C online channel
  • Gross and net margin/EBITDA
  • Engagement and productivity of the team
  • ROI marketing
