Laguna Negra School Tank


Background

The community of La Laguna Negra is located at
the Department of Boacco, 3 kilometers from the city of Camoapa. The Mother Teresa of Calcutta School was founded and built in 2000. Due to the growth of the population, the school had a reconstruction expanding the center with new classrooms. Its fundamental mission is Education, in order to promote development and give new opportunities to the most vulnerable people. It also ensures the construction and maintenance of social infrastructures, health and food security.

Objectives

The project provides water to the community through a water storage system supported by a metallic structure with a free height of 5 meters and a depth of one meter as a support base for the tower,
built in concrete, this tower has its respective ladder and a platform at the top to install and anchor a tank with a capacity of 5,000 liters.

This tank benefits the students, the staff, and the
and some 64 families living nearby.
