Tharaka School Tank

Background

The priority of this campaign is the educational field and it is complemented by actions in other sectors such as health or infrastructure, being the case of this project to provide the school with a water tank that has improved the living and sanitary conditions of the girls and boys who attend these schools. We have chosen this school because it is a model of good management on the part of its directors and it is in especially poor areas with a very young student body, most of whom are in the first years of primary school.

Objectives

A tank has been built to provide stored water, much of which is rainwater. In addition, in times of drought, a tanker truck has been hired to supply the tank with water if the rains have not been sufficient.

Milestones

This project has achieved that today 105 people have access to drinking water.
