Background

Tahen is a village in Battambang province, located southwest of Battambang city, about 13 km away.

It is considered a remote village because of its poor communication during the rainy season. During this time, which can last several months, the inhabitants of Tahen have serious difficulties in accessing primary services. 

The centre for children in serious poverty houses about 120 children and 45 social workers who get access to drinking water.
