Rehabilitation of a warehouse at St. Rosaire Hospital, Cameroon

Background

The population of Mbalmayo is mostly agricultural, but there is also a lot of small commerce. The town has schools, which means that activity in the surrounding area is high. The surrounding area is a rural jungle zone, with poor communications and little access to public services. The center has a social exchange to be able to attend to people who do not have financial resources to pay for it (in Cameroon health care is always paid for).

Objectives

The hospital has a well and a facility for its use, but it has deteriorated and it is necessary to install a new one.
water reservoir, as well as improving the channeling of the reservoir. The environmental impact is under control, since the main works have been completed (well and water tower). Fundación Recover has collaborated with this hospital for the last 6 years and we can attest to their work and commitment.

Milestones

This project has ensured that, to date, 2,500 people have access to drinking water.
