Background
The region of Roka is located in Battambang, one of the most punished provinces in Cambodia by the mines
Landmines. Its population depends on subsistence agriculture and suffers from water-related diseases, such as cholera or parasites, due to the lack of water and sanitation infrastructures.
Objectives
This project is supplying water for personal hygiene to patients, families and maternity health workers
of Roká, by means of the installation of three tanks which stores rainwater collected from the roofs. This project
They are getting the following results:
1) Promote the hygiene of the sick, their families and health workers.
2. Promote the hygiene of the Centre.
Milestones
This project has led to today, 320 people have access to safe water.
