Butare Library Tanks


Background

In the rural areas of Uganda is where it is more difficult to access one of the universal rights, such as the
education. The Butare Secondary School, through the Sisters of Good Counsel, is working to break down the barriers that make it difficult for the school-age population to attend qualified centres to complete their training. Thus avoiding the social problems derived from a low level of education.

center, which facilitates access to all students in addition to being able to supply the kitchen. The project has been expanded by installing tanks in the boys' and girls' dormitories at the boarding school.

Milestones

This project has resulted in 650 people having access to drinking water to date.
