Male dormitory tank Butare, Uganda


Background

In the rural areas of Uganda is where it is more difficult to access one of the universal rights, such as the
education.
Butare Secondary School, through the Sisters of Good Counsel, works to break down the barriers that make it difficult for the school-age population to attend qualified centers to complete their training. Avoiding the social problems derived from a low level of education.

Objectives

The installation of a 10,000-litre tank in the men's dormitory at Butare Secondary School allows the school's boarders to benefit from the rainwater collected. It promotes personal hygiene as well as the cleanliness of your clothes, helping to improve hygienic habits and your routine.

Milestones

This project has resulted in 212 people now having access to drinking water.
