Background
Most of the economic resources come from the cultivation of the fields, from grazing and from the manufacture of shea butter.
The only improved source is 1 kilometer away so they use highly contaminated open wells or marigots (groundwater that rises to the surface).
Objectives
The construction of a well with a foot pump is proposed.
The project is divided into 3 phases:
- Sensitization of the beneficiary population. Forming the water and fundraising committee for the contribution to be made by the population.
- Social mediation. Define rules of use and schedules.
- Infrastructure installation. Drilling of the well, installation of the pump and construction of the safety zone.
