Background

Haiti is in the midst of a political and humanitarian crisis.
continues. But in addition to these problems, the inhabitants of the Lima locality also have to deal with the lack of access to potable water.

Because of this, people draw their drinking water from places where it is not available.

Objectives

The project consists of the construction of a well in the
town of Lima
to give sustainable access to safe drinking water y better hygienic conditions to its inhabitants: 3,876 people of whom 61.4% are young people between 14 and 22 years of age.

The local population will be involved in the project
from the beginning, deciding on the drilling site and participating in the work.

In addition, with the IFEDA supportthe local counterpart,
we will conduct courses to manage and maintain the infrastructure.

Milestones

This well will contribute to improving people's lives
of Lima:

  • 106,352 saved per year in getting drinking water
  • 1,825,000 liters provided per year
  • 2,500 beneficiaries
