Background
In almost all regions of Haiti, water supply is not a right but a luxury. Access to drinking water is one of the biggest problems in Haiti, as it is not accessible to a large part of the rural population.

establish a drinking water supply system to improve the living conditions of the beneficiary population of this sustainable development project.

Objectives
The project aims to drill two artesian wells, equipped with hand pumps, in two communal sections of Les Cayes, Sicard and Suit, to provide year-round water supply for the families living in these communities.
In addition, the beneficiary population is trained in hygiene and sanitation.
A water committee is also formed to manage the maintenance of the wells and their financing through a small contribution from the beneficiary population.

Milestones

This project has resulted in 2,500 people now having access to drinking water.
